BLUEWATER FUN PARK OFFERS A TERRIFIC EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE FOR STUDENTS

Dear Administrators and Teachers,

Bluewater Fun Park is inviting your school for a fun and educational visit this year. We are in the process of joining forces with the Environmental groups: Carolinian Canada Coalition, St. Clair Conservation, Lambton College and the Urban Nature Centre. This endeavour will come together in three phases:

Phase One - includes, upon request, environmental presentations for every class that visits

Phase Two - includes the growing specialty grasses as well as gardens around the park for the students to observe

Phase Three - consists of Natural Garden Structuring and wildlife habitat structures to experience

We at Bluewater Fun Park believe that awareness of our environment is important for today's youth, especially our elementary students. In order to understand our environment, we must look at what we can do to sustain what we have and to try to clean up what we have damaged.

Because of our commitment to the environment, we now have a professional coordinator who will show the students the importance of reversing our direction so that we can conceive and protect our natural heritage. With our new native plants around the park, we are now attracting more birds, butterflies, frogs, toads and other wildlife. We feel that there are great benefits in maintaining local biological diversity. There is also a very real educational value in sharing what we have created. You will find that you will be able to fit this program into the Ontario Curriculum.

Feel free to browse the rest of our website for information around costs and dates the park is open. For more information on our affiliation with Carolinian Canada Coalition, see their website at carolinianorg.com.

We look forward to sharing an exciting and educational day with you and your students!

Yours truly,

Frank & Janet Pinsonneault
